The Porch Store custom panels have the body and substance of wood without the character flaws or necessary maintenance. They are made from 1", 1.25" or 1.5" thick solid cellular PVC. The white panels are made from Versatex brand sheet goods. Our panels are cut from sheets of cellular PVC. The core of the material may have slight variation in color from the finished exterior. The thicker the panel, the more likely that this discoloration will be visible. Generally this is faint enough that our clients don’t see this as a problem. The panels can be painted to resolve this matter if you so desire. And don’t worry—proper exterior house paint bonds to PVC extremely well—and you will not have the same maintenance as painted wood! This stair panel is the same weather-resistant PVC material as our regular panels, made to fit the angle of your stairs and match the design of our Jackson Panel. Check your local building codes for maximum and minimum sizes for tread and risers. Not sure what a tread and riser is? Not sure what the angle is of your stairs? 1.25′′ and 1.5′′ thick stair panels do not need to be milled down to fit Timbertech Railings, due to the way they are installed.
